Not a pure sports car, but much more a sportily elegant tour and utility vehicle: The 190 SL, which was presented as a roadster in its final design at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1955, was stylistically closely orientated around the 300 SL racing coupé and, with a 1.9 l four-cylinder assembly with overhead camshaft, newly developed at the time, promised an attractive performance on the road. How popular and successful the 190 SL really was could be seen not least in the production figures: between May 1955 and February 1963 25,881 units of the touring sports car were built in Sindelfingen, a large part of which were destined for the US market. As a miniature model, the 190 SL now enriches every personal collection and inspires with its great attention to detail. As a result, the model car is not only finished in an authentic colour, but also features an accurately detailed interior. The doors, bonnet and boot lid of the vehicle can be opened, allowing closer inspection of its interior. The precision model comes with a hard and soft top. It comes with a screwdriver in order to easily release the model from the packaging. A glove is also provided to prevent fingerprints on the windows or paintwork.
